Interactive Kinetic Bubble Wrap:

Location: MTR station platform

Target users:

The project aimed to occupy interaction between bubble wrap game and people who are staying at the MTR station for a little while, the following are the factors of people will interact with the bubble wrap game:

a. people who waiting for the train;

b. people who are curious on the bubble wrap

How it works:

when people walk by or stand up on the floor which is covered with bubble wrap, the bulbs hanging on the relevant area of the above ceiling will be waving up and down, the number of lighting bulbs will also change through the number of people who popping the bubble wrap.

The more people popping the bubble wrap, the faster the lights will wave up and down and the more bulbs will be lit up.

The bubble wrap can automatically re-configure itself after one train leaves.

Functions:

a. Diverting people:

When passengers go down to MTR, they can easily see the waving lights on the ceiling to direct them to the waiting spot where has less people.

b. Time-killing:

It’s a natural way to release pressure and ease people’s anxiety and boredom.

c. Saving energy:

If the area is full of people, the light will be much brighter than the area that has less people, which is also an environmental-friendly way to save power by adjusting the number of lighting bulbs.
